About

I am a freelance science writer currently based out of Missoula, Montana. My work lives in the intersections of human communities and 21st-century ecosystems with an especial focus on the chronically misunderstood, unknown and/or underreported. I anchor my work in both western and nonwestern scientific traditions and enjoy stories that integrate data with community-based reporting. Topics I regularly cover include zoologic and infectious diseases, wildlife conservation and innovations in sustainable agriculture.
